Why I love Alessia Cara's ''Here''

Sunday, December 20, 2015

I am not really a fan of parties. I much rather spend my evenings/nights with a few good friends while listening to soft music and talking about anything and everything than being at a party with people I don't really know. I always thought I was the only one. Of course I knew there are more people in this world who don't like partying so much, but I felt like I was the only one. Thanks to Alessia Cara's amazing song called ''Here'', I know better now. This song is kind of the introvert athemn; a song that speaks my mind.

Travel bucket list | When the wanderlust is kicking in

Friday, December 18, 2015

It may not be a big surprise that I want to travel. Some people use their money to buy alcohol and drugs, some spend it on parties or fun activities other than parties and other people rather spend it on clothes and make-up. Or food. Besides the fact I mostly spend my money on the last three things, I also try to save up as much money as I can for traveling. I've done quite a lot of city trips, thanks to my parents and school (Paris, London, Verona, Venice, Rome, etcetera), but there's still so, so, so, so much I want and need to see/visit. In fact, I've never been out of Europe.

I used to have a list on which I used to write what cities and countries I wanted to visit and it became  longer and longer. A few weeks ago I accidentally deleted this list (It was in my notes on my phone) and so I want to create a new list and put it on my blog. I'd also like to tell why I want to visit these particular places to badly.

A different state of mind in minutes

Sunday, December 06, 2015

Creating a different, more relaxed state of mind, how do you do that? The answer is listening to music. Saturday evening, when I came home from work, I knew I'd be home alone for the evening and so I had planned to cook a nice dinner for myself while listening to The Red Hot Chili Peppers on full volume. I ended up buying a pizza and came to know that even the RCHP were a little 'too much' for how I felt: super tired (the guitar in this song, though). And suddenly I was in desperate need of some relaxing music. So, I went to search for some relaxing music and discovered a new genre of music I'm absolutely in love with. I'm about to share some of my new favorite songs with you. Enjoy!

What I want

Saturday, November 28, 2015

Lately I have been thinking a lot about who I want to be and what I want with this life I am living. Fact is that I am a thinker and a dreamer and so that's what I do. Yesterday evening, just before I went to sleep, I made a list on which I wrote long- and short-term 'goals' that'll help me with becoming a better version of myself and with defining myself as a person. These things are very random and completely out of order as well. Let's go!

Rewritten book review: Breakable

Thursday, November 26, 2015

For English class I had to write a book review and so I decided to review my favorite book of all times: Breakable, by Tammara Webber and I decided to share it on my blog as well. I have already written a more personal (and less serious?) review about this book, which you can read right here.

Tammara Webber is the writer of the book Breakable, a whole new story that focuses on the male character, who was earlier introduced in the book Easy, in which the story was written from the female’s perspective. Easy is a tale of sisterhood. Breakable, on the other hand, is the story of how one boy turned into a man and his rocky path to adulthood.

TAG: about handwritten letters and opposite-sex friendships

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

I think I have a love/hate-relationship with tags. They're usually fun to answer and the more you make of your own answers, the more interesting it is to read. Though, I also 'see' tags as a sort of back-up for when you don't have the inspiration to write about something else. With this tag that's not really the case though, I really liked the questions when I read Hester's version of this tag on her blog. And so I'd like to answer them myself. So, here are some answers to questions I've never been asked before.

The major flaw of today's society

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

Society has changed a lot in the last 20 years, thanks to major technology developments, such as the Internet. In the past two decades, the World Wide Web has become a second world for us. A life without online communication has become unthinkable and some people even base their social life and self-esteem of their status on social media. The entrance of the Internet and social media have been a true break through and gave us more possibilities than we ever could’ve imagined, but it also has become a major flaw in today’s society.

Thanks to the Internet, it’s possible to communicate with people from all over the world, which can be a lot of fun. Via social media it’s easy to maintain contact with your friends and having online social media profiles can help you be creative and express yourself. On the first sight, social media seems to be something completely innocent, something fun, something to enrich your social life with, but in today’s society, it seems to have taken over our lives.

Some happiness

Sunday, November 08, 2015

For all the bloggers and writers out there: ever had moments where you knew what to write about, but didn't know how to start? That's my problem right now, though this is actually a way to start my blog post, haha. So, anyway, I thought it'd be nice to dedicate an article to my very own happiness, because damn, happiness is all around me lately and I feel so full of life and in peace with myself. It's great. In order to share my happiness with you, here's a list of the things that currently make me super happy!

This shirt from Zara also makes me really happy.

My current dreams and goals | Mood board

Monday, November 02, 2015

Inspired by Teske, I decided to create a 'mood board' for myself, to visualize my current dreams and goals. Instead of making a mood board the old school way (with scissors, glue and a bunch of old magazines), I decided to just use Photoshop. (I am beginning to love it now, thanks to school!) I searched on Tumblr for pictures that match my dreams and the things I want to achieve in life and created a collage. In this article I will show you my mood board and of course I will tell something about it as well. Keep on reading of you're interested!

Capsule wardrobe technique | Updated wardrobe

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

Since today school has started again after a one week break, shoot me. No, actually I don't find it that bad. School is good distraction and it keeps me busy. Also I like my classmates and all, so I'm good. I don't want this to be an all personal post again, so I thought it would be nice to tell you guys something about my updated wardrobe! I don't have pictures of my actual wardrobe though, but I will show you what I bought last week during my 'fall break'. I am already so excited!

What I bought:
White blouse - H&M, 19,95
Fake leather jacket - Forever21, €22,95
Green sweater (not exactly this one, but it looks similar) - H&M, €19,95
Denim jacket - Bershka, €24,99
T-shirt (the one I own is a little more pink-ish, with gold glitters woven through the fabric) - H&M, €9,95

Here without you - 3 Doors Down

Thursday, October 15, 2015

It has been raining for hours now and it's super cold. I wanted to write about something, but didn't really know about what to write. As I was listening to some music I came up with something. Ready for some way too personal, this-rather-belongs-in-a-personal-dairy-or-just-shouldn't-be-shared-ish stuff? This is going to be a blog post about my favorite song and the weird reason for it; a sort of song dedication!

Right now, as I am writing this, I am listening to my favorite song (duh?) - and the best version - of all time: Here without you, the acoustic version, by 3 Doors Down. People who know me personally might know that I have claimed this song to be my favorite a long, long time ago. I don't really know why though, the music isn't so very outstanding and the song is a bit 'standard' and above all, very mainstream (it's by far 3 Doors Down's most populair song). I guess it was the lyrics that spoke to me at that time and I think you can guess why. This song is clearly about some sort of distance and let that be that one thing that has been playing a pretty big role in my life now for quite some damn time.

''I've heard this life is overrated, but I hope that it gets better as we gooo.'' Eargasm (and that's why this is my favorite version).

Dedication to my fictional crush (jk) / book review Breakable

Tuesday, October 06, 2015

Gosh, such a long title. - Yes, it's true, in this article I am going to give you a book review! Not many people know I actually love love love reading. It's just that I never take the time to actually grab a book and read. When I'm on vacation though, I easily finish a book a day.

When I was in Italy last year, I read this book called 'Easy', written by Tammara Webber (in Dutch it's called 'Makkelijk'). I immediately loved the story, the characters in the story and how the story was written/told. You might be curious what this 'oh so lovely' book is about, so I searched for a summary of the book (yes, way too lazy to write a summary myself):
''When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a break-up. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she’s single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, stalked by her ex’s frat brother, and failing a class for the first time in her life.

Her econ professor gives her an email address for Landon, the class tutor, who shows her that she’s still the same intelligent girl she’s always been. As Jacqueline becomes interested in more from her tutor than a better grade, his teasing responses make the feeling seem mutual. There’s just one problem—their only interactions are through email.

Meanwhile, a guy in her econ class proves his worth the first night she meets him. Nothing like her popular ex or her brainy tutor, Lucas sits on the back row, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. At a downtown club, he disappears after several dances that leave her on fire. When he asks if he can sketch her, alone in her room, she agrees—hoping for more.

Then Jacqueline discovers a withheld connection between her supportive tutor and her seductive classmate, her ex comes back into the picture, and her stalker escalates his attention by spreading rumors that they’ve hooked up. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.'' (source)

Personal talk: things I'm excited for

Monday, October 05, 2015

Lately I'm not very sure what to feel or how I should feel. As I said in my previous article, I haven't been feeling so very happy the past few months, due multiple reasons. But it's not like I feel totally depressed or something. Since November last year I'd always felt quite okay. I sort of got rid of my major insecurity issue back then and decided to accept the fact I am just a very introverted person. In February certain things happened which basically made me super happy and then from March on, certain things started to go down again. Such a pity. Over the summer I felt quite happy as well, although something had happened again and for some miracle reason I managed to block all my feelings and so I felt mostly very 'neutral'; neither happy, nor sad. Then when school started, all my feelings apparently had to come out and so I started feeling so depressed it literally scared me. Luckily that feeling only lasted for a few days. I think I could say that, since that time, I have been feeling 'neutral' again. It's not like I am intentionally blocking my feelings again, it's just that I don't feel anything particular most of the time. And some moments I get sad and other moments I get very happy and excited for life.

Although this week is a bit boring, I have some things coming up that make me really excited. A couple of weeks ago, I made the very good decision to meet up with an old friend of mine, whom I hadn't seen for over a year. We stopped being friends, because of a stupid fight, but when we spent some hours drinking coffee and eating pie in Rotterdam in the evening, it felt like we never stopped being friends.  No matter what happens, apparently I will always feel like I can trust this girl with all my heart and the fact we grew together again after such a long time, only proves how strong our friendship was(/is). I'm so happy I made friends again. We have planned to go out sometime, which is the first thing I am really excited for. We'll look slay and dance and have fun and meet new people (*ahum* boys, duh). I can't wait!

I'm obsessed with these two hair styles since I saw it on Teske's blog. I'll probably wear my hair like this when going out (my hair is aaalmost as long as on this photo, so yay!). Or on any other day. It's so lovely! (source)

Favorite songs of the moment - September

Monday, September 28, 2015

It's been a while since I wrote an article about my favorite music of the moment. I believe the last one is from August last year. Wow! In this article I'll share some of the songs with you I've been frequently listening to in the month September.

The curse of being introverted

Saturday, September 26, 2015

Yesterday evening I was watching ''Expiditie Robinson'' with my dad and his wife. Expeditie Robinson is a TV show in the Netherlands, in which sixteen contestants (famous Dutch people) are put into a survival situation and compete in a variety of physical challenges. This season, a popular, Dutch youtuber participated in the TV show. Her name is Teske and in yesterday's episode, it turned out she had to leave the the show, because the other particpants had voted her away (each episode someone gets voted away). The thing is: Teske had seen this coming. During the episode it became clear that Teske had felt like she didn't fit in the group at all during her stay. And at the end of the episode, when it turned out she had to leave, she told the TV host that she is ''just a very introverted person''. As I was watching the episode, I could relate myself to Teske so much. I am an introverted person myself too. When I told my parents I could really relate to how Teske felt during her Expeditie Robinson adventure, they told me it should be an eye-opener for me. Because, although this TV show is just a game, it's kind of like how it goes in real life too: when you don't fit in the group, are introverted and a quiet person, people easily see you as a weak person. As the person who gets ''voted away'' in life. According to my parents I should take this as a lesson, but I was thinking: is it really a curse to be an introverted person in today's society?

If I only could play the guitar

Saturday, September 19, 2015

I love music to the moon and back. I love listening to it, I love going to concerts (it's been exactly one year and two days since I went to the Three Days Grace concert. Omggg) and above all, I LOVE playing it. As you might all know I play keyboard since about two years. Not for the longest time, indeed, but I keep getting better and better and I'm determined to become as good at it as I can get. What I don't understand about myself is why I started learning about/playing music so 'late'. Most musicians  I know started playing their musical instrument around the age of 10 or something. And I'm jealous, because they are all so super good now and I am... not. Well, I'll tell you something: once I wanted to play a musical instrument when I was much younger too. And that musical intrument was acoustic guitar.

The capsule wardrobe technique - Part two

Friday, September 18, 2015

In my previous article I wrote about the 'capsule wardrobe technique' and I showed you my 'must have basic items-list'. In this article I'd like to show you what my 'perfect capsule wardrobe' would look like. I will also tell you what basics I already own. Keep reading if you are interested!

All the items I will show you are overall dark colored and maybe more meant to be worn during the fall and winter time, but I did my best to choose items that wearable in all seasons. Also, I didn't include accessoires, jewellery and shoes.

FASHION | The capsule wardrobe technique

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Since about a year I am totally obsessed by this particular way of building up your wardrobe: the 'capsule wardrobe technique'. It means you are basically building up a wardrobe only consisting out of really versatile pieces you LOVE to wear. The practical thing about this technique is the fact that all pieces should be able to go well together. That way you'll never have a day anymore on which you don't know what to wear. Which is, obviously, my ultimate goal (and what girl would actually disagree with me?). I'd like to dedicate this article to the capsule wardrobe technique, my plan to actually get this desirable wardrobe and I will tell you what I think are the ultimate wardrobe essentials. Keep on reading if you are interested!

Updated: morning routine

Monday, September 14, 2015

Hey guys! I thought it would be cool to give you an update on my morning routine. Complete with photos!

You can read my previous-written morning-routine articles right here:
#1#2#3 (unfortunately they're all written in Dutch)

On a regular school day (on which school starts 08:15 AM) my alarm goes off at 06:00 o' clock in the morning. Yes, way too early to function normally, but somehow I have managed to get up every single day so far.

I made these pictures on a Thursday, when my first class always starts at 11:30 AM. And so, I got up at 09:00 AM. Sometimes I get dressed right after I get out of bed, but on mornings like this, when I don't have to rush so much, I rather have breakfast before getting dressed. And so I went downstairs to eat something.

The past few weeks | Personal

Tuesday, September 08, 2015

Yay, finally my new lay-out is up on the blog! I didn't create this template myself, but it took me a lot of time to edit the HTML (the original template looks way different than how this one looks now). Luckily it's aaalmost perfect now. I only need to fix the drop down menu and I need to add in my categories and a search balk somewhere. Oh well, I hope you guys like my new lay-out. Please, let me know in the comments! - keep on reading for the actual blog post -

A little poem

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

I have cursed to world so many times for the fact that you exist
Not because I hate you, but for the exact opposite (reason)
And I know the one to blame is only me
But how could I?
It's just all that you are and all that you do
that makes you kind of perfect, you see?
- Written by me

(there might be some grammar mistakes in the poem, but it's about the message after all. :))

Papertowns film review

Friday, August 07, 2015

''Maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became one.''

Aww, yeah, today I went to see the long-expected movie 'Papertowns'! I've read the book this summer and I absolutely loved the story, so I couldn't wait to see the movie! My sister read the book as well (which I find very impressive, considering the fact my sister is ''only'' 11 years old and the book is pretty thick + it has some difficult words in it) and so we both were super excited to see how to movie would turn out. Well, I can say my sister, mom (who went with us, obviously) and I weren't disappointed at all after we had finally seen Papertowns. In this blog post I will - obviously - give you a review of the movie and I will tell you about the morals of the story and the lessons I learned from this book/movie.

My bucket list

Tuesday, August 04, 2015

I have a bucket list. And today I am going to share my list with you. Back in the days, when I still blogged in Dutch, I had (almost) the same list put on my blog and I called it the Day zero project. I don't know why, I forgot about the whole idea of this 'Day zero project' anyway (and I'm too lazy to click on the link and read about it). I also have this list in my notes on Facebook - but in Dutch and adjusted a little as well - and I thought it would be cool to share this list with you on my blog, in English. There we go!

And older pic I made in Venice!

About sleepless nights and becoming an adult

Saturday, August 01, 2015

Note: have you noticed the extra scroll thingy at the bottom of my blog? If you use it, you can see some extra space at the side of my blog and I. don't. know. why. And I also don't know how to get rid of it. If anyone of you knows how to fix it, pleeease tell me! Thank you!

I don't really know what to write about, but I just feel like writing something new on here. I am by the way so surprised I am still writing in English. It's actually a little easier than I thought it would be. Anyway, currently it is 01:33 AM and it's the third night I am playing this amazing album on my laptop. The past few days I have been falling in love with the band 10 years, as you can tell by the fact my previous blog post is about them. My favorite songs on this album are 'Fix me' (much love), 'One more day', 'Don't fight' and 'Running in place', but actually all the songs on the album are slowly getting addicting. And so is this; listening to music on high volume after midnight. Much love (again).

Another picture I made while being in Turkey! Unfortunately the quality is not so good. :(

10 years

Saturday, July 25, 2015

Oh, it's feels so good when you discover a new band or artist, doesn't it? It does. Via this blog post I'd like to introduce you to this awesome band I recently discovered, called '10 years'. I fell in love with one of their songs right away (called Fix me) and started to listen to more of their songs soon after. In this article I will tell you something about the band (thanks to Wikipedia) and I'll share some my favorite songs from them with you.

Oh yeah, and the lead singer is kiiinda cute, don't you think? (the second guy from the left!)

RECAP: Turkey 2015

Thursday, July 23, 2015

Hey there! I am back! Back from spending two whole weeks in Turkey! As always, Turkey did not disappoint me at all and I truly had a great time being there. This year I did experience some things differently than the other times I've been to Turkey, though and not only because we - and with 'we' I mean me, my father, his wife and my brother and sister - spent the holiday in another hotel than we did the other years. I'll tell you all about it in this article, complete with some pictures I've made (with my phone)!

Why it is so easy to fall in love with (a) musician(s)

Wednesday, July 08, 2015

I am going to be honest and tell you right away that I based this idea for a new blog post on my own experiece(s). But if I never had been in love with some guy who coincidentally plays a musical instrument, I'd probably have thought the same thing for multiple reasons: it's ridiculously easy to fall in love with a musician.

I play keyboard and therefore I believe I can say I am a musician myself and also I believe we musicians have some sort of specific way of thinking. Musicians are very creative people and tend to be very emotional(?) as well. I actually once read about a study that has proven that a musician's brain does, in fact, work differently from any other 'normal' brain. And that, plus the fact that it's just really sexy when a guy (considering the fact I'm straight, right? I'm only speaking for myself after all) has this great passion for music, makes musicians so very very very attractive. And please know that I am not saying I am attractive myself just because I play a musical instrument. That'd be very weird and I'm aware of that. Hahaha. AND of course, somebody could play fifteen instruments, but be a total jerk and he (of she) still wouldn't be attractive. I know that.

My packing list for Turkey 2015

Thursday, July 02, 2015

I have said it a 100 times already, but soon I'll be in the plane on my way to the lovely Turkey. I've told everyone already and will keep telling everyone that I. am. so. excited! I am even excited for the days before actually leaving. Those days are always very fun due the excitement rushing through my veins, yet so super stressful (because of packing and worrying about forgetting to pack important stuff)! To make it a little easier for myself, I decided to make a packing list. Maybe it comes in handy for you too, if you're going somewhere sooner or later!

This packing list is for a two-week holiday in a very hot country - basically the climate you expect while being in Turkey in summer, haha. Keep this in mind if you're going to use my list for packing your suitcase(s). And towels and stuff are not included on the list, because those will be in the at the hotel already. Also, I didn't include things like a passport, money and keys.

This is what I will pack for my holiday to Turkey. I didn't mind about my visa, passport and all that, because I suppose my dad and his wife will take care of that. If you miss any important things on the list, please let me know. And if this packing list does come in handy for you too, leave a comment! And by the way, it's a printable, so you can print it out and check off the boxes! Mille baci!

Q: are you going somewhere this summer?

New in: a bikini and more!

Monday, June 29, 2015

So, in less than two weeks I'll be heading off to Turkey (and later in the summer to some place in da Netherlandsss) and as you might already know, I'm pretty excited for that. For some reason, going on holiday always means I need new summer clothes (or actually it is just a really good excuse...) and so last Friday I went to Rotterdam to spend some money (and I thought I deserved it since I earned the money myself!). In this post I will show you guys what I bought. :)

My plans for this summer and other stuff

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

The weather in Holland is slowly getting better and that's good, because I have only 1,5 days left and then my summer break begins! I can't even believe it. This year flew by so super fast. About my opinion on the past school year, you can read right here. The fact I'm aaalmost done with school, means I'll soon have time again for a bunch of other things! Not that I never had time to do other things than working on school this whole year, but I am now allowed to change my priorities and that feels really good.

Why I find Tumblr stupid

Monday, June 22, 2015

And now all kinds of Tumblr people will come to me and tell me I am stupid in order to defend themselves and Tumblr, but aren't you curious for the reasons behind my opinion? Because I have tons. And I have to be honest, I have been a Tumblr user myself for years. I spent hours on the it and really liked it. Until some things started to bother me and I decided to take my Tumblr account down. I recently came across this Facebook page called 'Shit Tumblr says' (the page is hilarious) and it made me dislike Tumblr even more. In this blog post I'd like to explain my slowly forming hate towards Tumblr to you. And by the way, if you're a Tumblr user, don't take it too personally. :) (this seems to be something I have to state in every article of mine lately).

Breaking Benjamin, The Script and more

Sunday, June 21, 2015

The people who have been following my blog for a longer period of time, might know that I used to write a blog post (almost) every month in which I shared my favorite music of the moment. Well, those people might also have noticed that I stopped writing those articles a little while ago. I am not planning on writing these articles on a monthly basis again. Although, music is one of my greatest passions (as well as playing it as listening to it) and so I think my 'favorite songs of the moment' deserve to be shared on my blog every now and then. So, in this article I will tell you what songs have made me hit the replay button multiple times the past few weeks and why. Enjoy!

What I DON'T understand about boys

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

First, let me make this clear: this blogpost is not an insult towards boys or whatever and my opinion is absolutely not the truth. Boys, don't take anything in this article personal and especially don't take it too seriously. :)

Those who follow me on Twitter, may have noticed that 99,9% of my Tweets contain stuff about guys/boys/men/whatever you want to call the other species and so it may seem pwettyyy clear that I'm into them. I may seem like I like everything about them boys. Well, that's not exactly true (of course not, it wouldn't be healthy and just... too obsessive and weird?). There are a few things that boys do/wear/say/etcetera and which makes me shake my head (and think: WHY!?!!?). I could generalise my opinion and change the title of this blogpost into 'What girls don't understand about boys', but I know that my opinion is not every girls' opinion. So, in this article I am just going to share my uninteresting opinion with you about what I don't really understand about boys. I was gonna say ''Boys, take notes!'', but that would be a little useless, unless you're hella interested in me, of course (ha-ha).

RECAP: my first year of... college?

Monday, June 15, 2015

First things first, I have no idea what my type of school is called in other countries (talking about middle school, high school, college, etc.). In The Netherlands it is called 'MBO' level 4(+, as my journalism teacher once said!), literally translated: "middle-level applied education", some type of vocational training(?) you can do after you have graduated on 'vmbo' level ("preparatory middle-level applied education"). You might already understand that the Dutch school system is completely different from the English, American or any other school system and so it is hard to explain what sort of school I go to. Anyway, I'm learning about something specific (which is editorial assistance), plus I have finished high school last year and therefore I will just say I am going to college since this year. And this first year of college has almost, almost come to an end. It's crazy how time flies by... when your having fun?

The street I walk through to get from the central train station to my school. Since this school year I am really in love with Rotterdam (and to all those foreign people who are dying to visit Amsterdam: Rotterdam is worth a visit too! (and don't worry, Rotterdam also has coffee shops ;))

Why having internet friends isn't a bad thing

Monday, June 08, 2015

Isn't it funny how our parents always told us to never ever talk to strangers on the internet, while the internet nowadays is full of websites where you can meet new people and talk to them? I am not ashamed when I tell you I have met many people on the world wide web. I talk to them, even consider some of them as my friends.

I think there is nothing wrong with meeting people on the internet, becoming friends with them or even start a romance, but I also think there has to be balance between your 'internet life' and the real life. The people you meet on the internet may not live nearby you and I think it's not okay to forget about your friends who live close by and replace them for your internet friends. Having friends on the internet might also sound kind of pathetic in some way and so I think it's important to have a sort of limit for how many people you're meeting on the internet. Not only because of the pathetic sense, but also for your own good. Your internet friends can't come over to spend the evening with you and watch a movie or something, you can't go to their house if one day you feel like you have nowhere else to go. They can't be there for you like a friend in real life can.

Photograpghy | A day at the park

Saturday, June 06, 2015

I believe the summer is finally breaking through here in Holland, because we Dutch people have been blessed with some nice weather these past few days. Yesterday it was 32° degrees outside and today the weather was very nice as well, so my mom decided it was time for a picnic in the park. I wasn't allowed to bring my phone with me (because: addicted (and so today felt a little like a rehab to me, hahaha), but I did bring my camera with me and so I took some pictures. Of course I am going to share them with you in this blog post. I really enjoy photography, although I'm not very good at it yet. Fortunately, practice makes (almost) perfect!

Who I am

Friday, June 05, 2015

So, fiiiinally I've managed to find a nice Blogger template that actually looks pretty good. As you might have noticed already (I hope you have, haha) this post is written in English and so you might already know where this is going... I am going to continue my blog in English! I'm pretty excited, but also nervous, because I'm not sure if my English will always be 'perfectly' fine and I don't want to make too many mistakes, since I'm always so convinced of my ''good'' English. The reason why I want to continue my blog in English is because I want to improve my English writing skills and it would've been nice if the non-Dutch people who visit my blog, could read what I am writing on here as well. Anywayyy, this blogpost will be about... me! I guess more people from other countries than Holland will be visiting my blog now (at least I hope so) and therefore I will introduce myself in this post. In a different way than I normally do, thought. You'll see what I mean.

How to dress like Belle from OUAT

Wednesday, May 27, 2015

Vraag me wederom niet waarom; I like taking risks (grapje). Edit: rekenen heb in inmiddels allang af. :)

Via Netflix volg ik Once Upon A Time. Maar goed, OUAT it is and I'm HOOKed (what's up, cast-refference?!)

Tuesday, May 26, 2015

1001 ideeën en zo weinig tijd, thanks to school.

Super handig!

My latest obsession: Kevin Staudt

Friday, May 08, 2015

Wednesday, May 06, 2015

En ja, if you fuck me up (or make me angry, happy, disappointed, etc.), there's a 100% chance I'll write about you on my blog. Suck. It. Up.

GIFs: Colin O'Donoghue appreciation post

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

Colin O'Donoghue. Also known as Captain Hook of Killian Jones (Hook's echte naam). Also known as de hotste acteur van Once Upon A Time. Also known as de bae. GIF's!

Shoplog: H&M, C&A, Essence en een nieuwe schooltas

Sunday, May 03, 2015

Saturday, May 02, 2015

Oh boy, how wrong I was.

Een creatieve uitspatting | Your music

Friday, April 17, 2015

I'm alone,
but lucky for me
there's a difference between being alone
and lonely

But you know,
When I listen to my favorite song
and replace the singer's voice with yours,
and that's so easy since we've ended it,
it makes it seem like I own the world

Crashed and burned

Monday, April 06, 2015

Vandaag ga ik jullie weer even updaten over mijn *ahum* liefdesleven. Let's go!

Dear diary (you win some and you lose some)

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Zo.

Let's go!

Oh, those nights | Heimwee naar Venetië

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

You call to me and I fall at your feet
How could anyone ask for more?
And our time apart is like knives in my heart
How could anyone ask for more?
